Pearson responds

I received an email from the airport. Here is their reply. Essentially, they are saying "it’s out of their hands". We’ll see if anything happens next time I’m in T1.
Anyway, here’s their reply:

Thank you for your email regarding Toronto Pearson International Airport and for bringing this to our attention.

While the Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA) operates and manages Toronto Pearson International Airport we do not manage the activities of the Interfaith centre, we would like to assure you that this space is intended as an multi-faith centre and as such material of multi-denominations are on display.  This said however, we appreciate there may be some general sensitivities with the subject matter of this material and will forward your email to the Administration Office and Chaplains for the Interfaith Centre for their information and appropriate response.

It is the goal of the GTAA to ensure that the travelling public receives the highest level of customer service.  Thank you again for your comments

Wow.  Right there in the airport – funny how they take away your water bottle just in case you are planning something against innocent travellers, and yet material that actually incites misunderstanding and hatred (as you said) is allowed to flow freely across the security barriers.  Just goes to show, the root of the problem isn\’t the action; it\’s the idea.
